Hey guys,
do you think I could be using OS X for hacking, or I just have to stick with Windows and Linux? There is also a possibility to install Windows right into my Macbook, but just if necessary.
Thank you

Any OS is fine. Use whatever suits you best. And perhaps have a VM with another (complementary) OS.

You can use OS X, but you will run into some problems depending on what you are doing. The hacking community tends to use Linux more than anything else, and then Windows next to that.

What I’ve seen more than not in the real world. People tend to run Windows, and then have a VM of Linux (mostly backtrack).

yeah but , another noob question in regards of the evolution and the actual market impact
hackers don’t tend too adapt on the os where they can gather the best infos?

I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking.
Do hackers adapt to different platforms over time?
Yes, but hackers are people too. The reason why hackers tend use Linux and Windows more is it has more freedom than the OS X. Also, the cost of a mac (hackers are people too. On top of that, hackers tend to understand how to emulate OS X on a much powerful Windows or Linux PC. I have a video on my YouTube channel on how to do that.)

If you are asking how hackers stay informed.
Hackers tend to use events like DEFCON, school, and the news as resources. Hackers also use forums and andchatalike this, but there is a bit of mistrust in these things. There is virtually no way of knowing if the person you’re talking to is the cops.

A hackintosh or running OS X in vmware or virtual box.
Same with running Linux as a dual boot or in a vm. The good hacking Linux os like backtrack sucks for day to day use.
