You don’t simply walk into Mordor… –Boromir

I think I will have to improve my social engineering skills if I plan to walk into Google’s data center… Does these machines only have a CD drive? Anyway, I’m just kidding… Thanks for the advice @gninja. I’m new to hacking and I wonder if beside this there is another way to get this file.

Peace!

@DaGr8Kornolio you never know if an admin has gotten lazy and left a password file on his un-patched machines desktop, if you get my drift. ( bring on the metasploit lol)

At my uni more of the teachers were DUMB ASSES teaching about security and they do do it them selves by leaving posts in the draws of admin passwords lol.

My favourite was “the password on a sticky post it under the keyboard” lol. My way of trying to get them to realise the error of their ways was to stick it to the bottom of their optical mouse so it didn’t work ^__^

Many admins are too confident and don’t even think about being hacked. When you are aware of a security flaw, you must patch it as soon as you can no matter if the chance that someone else find it are small. If I have to store a password file on my own laptop or anything sensitive, I will surely save it in an encrypted folder. In fact, my whole laptop is encrypted… If you try to boot it, a message will show up to tell you that no boot device is available. Give a look at True Crypt if you have a chance… It might save your life. By the way I use it too to save my backup in the cloud since I’m not too confident about these companies security or privacy…

That because it’s not as simple as movies but yet not impossible neither too complicated in some case, I agree.
In addition, since blind attacks are easier than targeted ones they don’t care much on that.
