It’s interesting. But, I felt like they were just throwing words at the wall in hopes that it would stick.

(Guy talking about how he couldn’t be tracked because he used the Tor browser (without showing it). Then saying the government hadn’t figure out a way around it.

Even the most basic hacker/IT security person would know that the Tor was made by the USA Navy. And, people have been for their crimes, even if they were using Tor to commit those crimes.
The only real reason to use Tor is to keep your stuff private from your ISP, network admins, smaller governments, and small time hackers. In fact, using a VPN gives you as much protection as TOR within USA.)

So you are not so much annoyed by nonsense in movies but more by the fact that the writers don’t subscribe to your simplistic security evaluation of things like Tor and VPN. Got it. :p

I have watched the first 38 minutes of the movie. Will be watching the rest tomorrow.

@dloser
It would be nice to get an actual movie that didn’t screw up hacking or made it look like magic. But, I guess pulling straws when I complain about them using Tor over a VPN.

It’s cool. Sadly there isn’t too much to pick from when it comes to actual hacking. So you kinda have to take what you get
