Why did you join this site and start learning about newtork security.computer etc.? I mean ,I join this site thinking :“Ok now I’m gonna be a hacker, I'will hack banks, facebook and be invisible” but I have figure it out it wasn’t that easy and more ,more I’m learning about hacking I’m getting this thought: hacking facebook, gmail, websites isn’t cool its dangerous, illegal , you’ll ruin your live with that. Better to use that knowledge to protect yourself. What do you think?

It’s not about being a hacker or doing illegal things, it’s about freedom. This world is really fucked up , I mean everything that can set us free is usually declared by the governments as “illegal”, because they don’t want the people to be free, they just don’t want us not to think too much, they want us to be consumers, buy things that we don’t really need and be good slaves, so I think learning is a really good thing , because “knowledge is the key to unlock the mind”

I am everyday watched by a thousand cameras for my so called security, I see a lot of commercials everywhere ,
I have to get a job if I want to pay my food and specially my taxes because if I don’t pay my taxes, everything (I think) I possess will be taken…
there are lots of examples like this that don’t come to my mind
But no, I do not consider myself as free…

I was already a computer programmer, but I was looking for a challenge. When you’re programming, you don’t have an opponent. it gets boring, tbh. Here, you have an opponent: whether it’s a website, a server, or a pesky bit of cryptography. I’m also very into ciphers and puzzles and things so this is right up my alley.

I didn’t know where to start… I typed how to become a hacker on youtube and it send me here. So here I am.

I just want to improve my skills… but I’m not sure if the challenge will help me a lot. Sure it’s fun and mind challenging… but I’ve read and writes lots of code and I’ve never seen someone hardcode his password or hide it at the end of a picture or shift letter to encrypt data… Every time I try to use SQL injection on a real site it failed…

I think that script kiddies that are able to find a web site listing bug reports for apache have more chance than me to succeed…

Don’t take me wrong… I think flabby and his crew made a great job! Thank you!

I have always had an interest in computer hacking. Mostly, I am interested because I have certain adversaries that know how to set up firewalls and proxys that stop me from getting information.

To learn by doing! Hacking legally, challenging levels and the site is cool and well ordered. You can see the quality of the level some are quite extensive. It is like myself continuously improving and positively evolving. And finally, the exposure/exchange with likeminded but way more knowledgeable individual is refreshing and enlightening. O yeah, I get to express some of my own knowledge and opinions, and like I said its all legal! Doing it anonymously. Thanks to flabbyrabbit and the gang, for wonderful site.

I found the site by searching web material on the art of hacking.
The site is well done and some of the levels have a certain degree of difficulty but I think that to become a good hacker is certainly not enough to overcome all levels: the site is only a starting point …
To become a true hacker is not enough to live as an hacker (study and experiment) … but we must also and above all DREAM AS AN HACKER!

Yes it’s illegal if you misuse your knowledge. But you can also use it to help people. Or you can keep it to yourself, whatever. I find it fun too. In a way, it helps make it feel as though time is passing quickly. You sound like a noob to me, there’s more to hacking than just stealing passwords, destroying data and so forth. You can use your knowledge to do good.

For me, it sometimes feels as though time is passing quicker than usual. I feel good knowing this stuff. Again, there’s more to hacking than creating viruses, stealing data, that’s more like “cracking”.

Was interested in computers and hacking seemed quite cool, so i searched “how to hack” on youtube and i came across this site. Been pretty hooked ever since, learnt html and css, and now learning javascript, basically my whole knowledge on computers has increased. I study engineering and i find this useful to expand my general knowledge, computers are predominant in our modern world and understanding them and their systems is crucial to be on top of the game in our society. More knowledge means more power and more freedom. THE MORE ONE KNOWS, THE MORE ONE CAN MAKE DECISIONS FOR HIMSELF AND NOT FOLLOW THE HERD LIKE A SHEEP!
