When you have the right port to connect to you can use a tool like netcat to easily solve the challenge.

But I’m pretty sure you can do it even with Putty, I’ll check that.
Stop helping them, there are too many hint / big spoilers
Just by using google you can find everything that’ll help you throughout the level
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘\’‘ at line 1
wait, are you connecting to the server and port with ssh? :p
You should know how to connect to the port ( its easy ) and if you scanned it with nmap it will tell you the name of the protocol… maybe as far as i remember

We are running a suspicious looking service. Maybe it will give you the answer. [/quote]
What are you looking for ?
Suspicious service on the server
How do I find that suspicious service ?
Analyse server
How do I do that thing ?
Search on google –> You’ll get Nmap
/you proceed scan and find what you need to find
Now what to do with that thing ?

@lutusa you should stop criticizing others here, you should instead take a look at yourself and your comments, and then try to realize if your posts are actually much more useful than ours, or, for that matter, if your posts are useful at all.
It looks to me that your posts are not better than ours, the day when your posts will receive positive karma instead of negative we will gladly read what you have to say…. but till then you should just stfu or post something useful.
We need to participate more in this community to bring back the way it was, where we did receive help when asked, and not just criticism or flaming. I for one and active here on a daily basis, stuck on quite a few challenges, and I redo older ones to keep them in memory. I try to post help when I see new posts, I also have receivied a lot of help from several members here, either new or older. I have nothing but respect for this community and am glad to be a part of it. I will continue to help those that I can, when I can. I also look forward to seeing this become a more active site once again!!
I believe if someone comes here to think these challenges are easy, and they are going to learn to “Hack” just by solving a few of these, you are very wrong, and you should not disrespect others by posting unneeded comments that are of no help to anyone. This is just a general post, that I added here and is not geared towards anyone specific. Keep at it everyone!
