ok what you do is download a live cd called wifite and run it against the access point it is either wps wpa or what have you determine the encryption type and crack it appropriatley if you own it

When I was younger, I used to brute force my own router login at 192.168.0.1 or whatever it was. Looking back i probably could have though of something better to do. aircrack or something like that. decent wireless monitoring card, and you’re away!

I think after you gain admin previlage, you can change the router’s ip, subnetmask, default gateway, maybe the arp table, etc. And this will troubling the network. CMIIW

no point in hacking routers unless you are up to no good :)

When solving problems, dig at the roots instead of just hacking at the leaves.

very true djsimon21, the fact that you can get to the router means its doing its job, so to hack your way in would be pointless unless you want to change something so that it doesn’t work.
