Closing Threads
As most of you probably know many users here tend to spam in every thread they see.
So I thought that it might be a nice feature for the creator of a thread to be able to close the thread when his question has been answered.
(Maybe also something where the creator can mark the (best) answer?)
That would be nice to avoid spam and off-topic discussions in a thread and would help people to find the answer with just one quick look. Also they would be able to see if it already has been answered or not.
It’s Nice Idea and you are right they Just spam and it’s hard to find hints in the thread because of spammers :)
If you make people think they’re thinking, they’ll love you. but if you really make them think, they’ll hate you.

Something like how the stack exchange websites work? I think this has been suggested before, and I do very much agree that it would be a nice feature for some sub-forums (especially the level forums). It wouldn’t make quite as much sense in say the introduction or new forums though, where the thread itself isn’t a direct question, but rather a discussion.
I suppose having two different types of threads could work, where you can either choose to start a discussion thread or a question thread. However, I have a feeling it would require a lot of moderation to make it happen, and I’m not sure if I feel it would be worth it.
Another option would be to allow sorting by karma, or possibly hiding negative karma posts. Again, wouldn’t make as much sense in discussion threads, but might be a better solution for now.
print(", ".join([str(x) for x in range(1,100) if not [y for y in range(2, x) if x%y==0]]))
im agreed with @Verath . but i think we could try with my suggestion ; I think it takes 2 to 3 types of forums. a forum for fans of hacking a forum for fair hackers intermediate and another for professional hackers .. and thereafter, to belong to a group discussion, it should fill in the appropriate conditions. this is my suggestion.
what u need is what u get when u’re hacker !!! xx
@verath yea that’s what I was thinking about. Wouldn’t make sense in a discussion or introduction thread but in the level threads it would be really nice.. Of course it might not be that easy to realize but maybe flabby has a idea how to do it here.
I think I already mentioned it in the Karma-Thread but it would also be nice if high-rated Posts would be on top of the thread or somehow marked that you can find them.
I like the idea with having two different threads might be easier to realize as well..
All nice suggestions but I think the introduction of multiple thread types may get somewhat confusing. Therefore I would be tempted to use karma as the sorting metric, as suggested in the karma thread.
Back to this threads topic, giving the OP the ability to close their threads feels like a very good idea. Also I think it would be desirable for threads to be automatically closed after a period of time to stop dead threads being reawakened.
