You can add a video to your post. Some post do already contain videos and I think there is also an article with a video in it.

I just thought you could post existing videos from the web, like from Youtube……. how do I upload a recorded desktop vid I’ve made myself?

Oh well I guess you will have to upload it to YouTube or Vimeo.
I don’t think it’s possible to upload the videos to this site (nor do I think that this is necessary)
If it’s a tutorial or something like that I think there is nothing wrong with uploading it to YouTube. :)

Yes, it looks like that’s what I’m going to have to do. I’ve got a lot of old stuff that I did on video when I was learning and I was hoping to get it posted in the articles page both so people can learn from it and for the medal lol.

Maybe that’s an idea to put to Rabbit while he is working on the site :)

Emm, upload video will cost the server up because the storage needed. I think current feature for display video is wise enough.

storage is one reason but bandwidth have a big part also !
I think the youtube option is quite convenient !

No need to reinvent the wheel, youtube does a very good job already. But one thing that could be added is an upload form that submits a video to an official hackthis youtube channel. This could help people worried about revealing personal accounts or not wanting to create a youtube account. I will have a look into how difficult this might be to implement.

Hmm, a separate HackThis channel on YouTube it will be very nice !!!
I can see many new additions to hackthis in its newer version !!!
