((Stepping out of character for this one.))

Okay, I have no internet at home, but there’s wi-fi EVERYWHERE! I need some help hacking into that. How would I be able to hack into the wifi? Oh, btw, it’s a desktop I’m trying to get it on, so I’m sure accessories may be needed. Just trying to give myself more times to do things everywhere because I am always bored as hell once I get home.

And use layman terms. I’m fifteen and probably won’t understand a word you say if you don’t.

And don’t call me an idiot for wanting free internet. A good neighbor shouldn’t put a password on their wi-fi.

Do you have a device with a wireless card? (laptop/phone with wifi)
Do you have backtrack?

kali-linux simples :) but it would be illegal if you did it to a networks thats not your own

If your mobile phone (android) has WiFi, you can use internet pass-through (Phone shares its internet with a host). With some rooted android devices, you can use the wireless feature of the phone in monitor mode (start airmon-ng “name of wireless chip vendor), useful if your cracking WiFi from a desktop without a built in wireless card.

Once you have a wireless device monitoring a network, its your choice what tool you use to sniff with.

very true android is getting very in depth with the tools they have but like i said use wifiway it works better than backtrack it can crack a wifi key in seconds using wps hack and also works great on wep wot ha signal over 75%

or use my setup a orinico gold pcmcia card and a 26 dbi yagi lol
