Notifications
Any chance of getting a notifications window or something that lets you know when someone’s written on your post? I know you have the email ones but I would rather know why im on here than check my emails bouncing back and forth.
very good point im always clicking back and forth looking for my forum posts if they were responded too that would be a great idea maybe with json or ajax if you had flabbys source
i bake therefore im fried!!
That is a nice idea @Gninja

Personnally, I would like to be able to expand the recent post section. It shows about 20 posts but if there is more, I miss the remaining. Would be nice to click on a button like in google or FB to see more recent post and be able to keep up to date with every change that occured.
Sorry if I hijack this converstation… But I thought it was somehow related.

Its not a hijack @DaGr8Kornolio thats exactly what this tread is about ;)
The notifications system has already been completed for the new site and I must say it is awesome! The email alerts on the current version are poor and were hastily bolted on. The new site is built on and around the idea of notifications and continued interaction, so those posts you commented on and forgot about :p that should be harder to do.
As for @DaGr8Kornolio’s idea, yes is the simple answer. The threads that you have participated in will be highlighted when new replies are made and you will be able to browse deeper into those which you haven’t.
Thanks @flabbyrabbit for the follow up. I hope you wont make me pay for all these new features you are working on for the new site! :(
Congratulation for the current version by the way. You did an amazing job to unit the hacker community worldwide. And a big thumb up for everyone who stays after the challenges and make this community grow.
