You download x64 version. You need i686 version.

Now but I say MAC was difficult about windows on system but MAC is very good

Hey you might want to check out www.kali.org its almost exactly like backtrack and correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure kali takes over backtrack now. Also kali has its own virtualbox iso file. I also have kali as my main os for my laptop.
