With your error on KDE I would simply remove the icon-cache and plasma cache from /root/.kde/cache-root/
On Mac I don’t really know how it works :/
Also, maybe you could be interested by Kali ( sort of Backtrack 6 ) or Kali 2 :)

Mac is another, you can’t have KDE with Mac in the same lol

Can’t you just boot kali just like you booted backtrack?
