And I downloaded VMWare Workstation and it fucked up everything so I had to completely uninstall it. Now Im “Limited” on any network I access, blocking me from any internet or hypertext jumps.

I have vmware downloaded and installed on my laptop and it didnt cause any internet problems .
Well i hve windows 8 and experienced being limited on any connection many times , try restarting your laptop , ok im sure u did and try troubleshooting the problem using the troubleshooter , it really helps sometimes.
Otherwise GOOGLE is your friend.

Sadly, I have tried everything and this error message keeps occuring, “Your computer configuration seems to be fine, but the server location (DNS server) isn’t responding.” This is restricting my new laptop from internet access, but any other device that connects is fine. Ive tried restarting, running anti-viruses (Idk why) and disabling my firewall. Im not sure whats going on so Im taking it into Geek Squad tomorrow. Gonna be quite the walk of shame. :s

mmm which version of VMware you got ? cos the only one that worked for me was the workstation 12 , older ones always had troubles with dlls and other stuff (but never network problems O.o).

also you can try with virtualbox (personally i dont like it , most of the times i just use it on work or places where i cant get too much pirated software installed) just be sure to download the lastest version and it shouldnt have trouble with win10

You want to download the iso file from https://www.kali.org/downloads/ . Make sure you get the right one for your pc (32 Bit ,64 Bit). Then burn the file to a clean dvd or a usb flash drive. Some software to burn the file is Win32 Disk Imager https://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/ or your favorite disc burning . Once you burn the iso file to a usb or dvd restart your pc and depending on your brand of computer press the boot options button (for me its its F12 )and select the the disc that has the file. I hope this helped and enjoy kali Linux ,its a really fun os to have.:)

I wouldn’t advise putting Kali on a dualboot.

But what kind of problems are you having when you try and install it?
Have you followed any guide etc.

I have it running on vm ware workstation 12 player, with no problems.

I got it from this link.

My laptop has an AMD A10 processer, so its much more multi-window oriented, rather than a HP i series processor. Works fine for me :)
