Phone has been wiped.
Hello,
( EDIT: just to clarify, I wanted my photos, messages( text and whatsapp) and audio recovered. Apps except for whatsapp memory I’m not too fussed about)
4 weeks ago, my phone was wiped.
Obviously, stupid as I am I had no memory card all this time…. -_-,
I’ve been trying android ‘recovery’ programs, but to no avail.
Obviously I know you can hack and that your pictures, deleted files and everything is never really gone away…
( I did not know about the cloud, I’ll appreciate the advice on backup up to the cloud in the future and maybe getting an sd card but I really want to know the simple answer: yes or no. legally).
So Question: is there a way to hack back all this information? I know i have seen on here that you can hack into wifi’s but not emails ( that makes no sense -_-), nothing is ever gone or wiped away from information technology and this is my phone and not anyone elses, if not like I want to hack into someone else’s information.
I know anything can be recovered by the police. So i’ll willing to take time to learn hwo to get my information back. I know amatuer hackers can recover infomation, data and important files the same way the police do ( just that there’s not obviously ‘taught’). So if there’s is a way, legal or illegally, please tell me. ( I do not wish hack illegally).
I know you lot on here do not condone illegal hacking, so if this is illegal i’ll just back down. I’m really upset and want my phone information back, it’s quite important but if it can’t be achieved then i’ll guess i’ll just have to move on. ( Obviously I will not act upon my wish if it can only be achieved illegally).
So please help?
Thankyou.
Four weeks ago? And you have been using that same phone since then?
You are right that a reset doesn’t really remove everything, however as soon as you are making changes on your phone (including making photos, installing apps, but also just using it), things will be overwritten and made unrecoverable.
The best action in this case is to make full image copies of whatever storages your phone has. In most cases this will mean that you have to have rooted your phone to get that kind of access. (Rooting it afterwards might risk making even more unrecoverable.) Once you have the image, you can start using various tools on it. There might be specific ones for the file system on your phone, but there are also more general forensic tools that work for everything (although not everything might be as easy to recover with it). Personally, I prefer making my own tools using the specifications of file systems etc. Google is your big friend here.
Alternatively, you might look for a company that provides this as a service. Probably won’t be cheap, though.
[…] and everything is never really gone away… […] nothing is ever gone or wiped away from information technology [**…] I know anything can be recovered by the police.[/quote]
In terms of physics you might be technically right, but for all practical purposes this is of course not true at all.

As I told you before, they are legal, unless you use them in an illegal way.
- Stop using the phone.
- Search for : http://lmgtfy.com/?q=file+recovery and download, install.
- Connect your phone to your computer if you installed the program for your computer.
- Run the file recovery on your computer or phone and restore images or files.
Good luck with that!
Most people are not stupid, just ignorant…
I didn’t know what to do D:
But surely even if I deleted everyone off my phone now and stopped using it after a couple of years, secret hackers would be able to retrieve all the information that was on the phone ? I watched a YouTube clip where the FBI ( phone ) retrieved literally every single step where that phone has been.
ISNT THIS WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CELEBRITIES back in July 2014? One of them said along the lines ‘ I hope your happy wig yourself, that you actually mangaged to get pictures me and my husband took several years ago ( implied deleted) on phones we don’t even use anymore’ ? I can’t remember the name because she isn’t a A-list celeb.
Then again, I don’t know if she had a factory reset :-D , so maybe a reset changes everything and ’re-writes the files…
Yeah I don’t think I’ll be able to pay for a company to do this…
Many thanks x

Come again?
‘ Personally, I prefer making my own tools using the specifications of file systems etc. Google is your big friend here.’ Not possible, at least for now. ( I don’t know how to hack. )
Again with the multiple posts…
You really shouldn’t believe everything you read/see, and more importantly, you shouldn’t turn it into extreme absolutes like “secret hackers would be able to retrieve all the information” and “retrieved literally every single step” (emphasis mine). What I’ve told you is the way it is; some things will be lost. It would be a wonderful world if it wasn’t. No more backups needed!
I think the main problem is that you lack the skills to do this stuff, but you expect there to be a simple “push this button” solution to it. Perhaps try the forensics challenge on this site. It is a much easier variant of what you want to do.
@Kerachi, I’ve tired this, but like I said to no avail. Ill have to pay.
The recoevery program I tried literally only recovered five photos that I took post-wiped ?( and that wasn’t all of them) the recovery program DID say that to recover ALL of my data I will have to pay ( but I don’t trust easily with online companies, I would have to contact a sure legitimate company as dloser said, but I do not know how to get in contact with such ( can anyone give names?)
But honestly, I’m really ngl, thy I would rather being the sponge I am hack for free. I just didn’t know if it was illegally or not.
I’m not believeing everything I read or hear for that matter ( my friend’s dad’s friend hacked into her phone and 10 minutes later…. Viola ! Her contact phone turned into pay as you go , so she had the contract benefits while her phone was read as payg so = zero debt. ) What I mean is they recorved all the files, where the phone has been geographically, geographical movement, all the photos back. That’s it. I understand you mean they can’t in reality retrace every little detail but I think they mean or was saying more or less/pretty much. And I know no hackers is truly ‘ secret ’ as a friend told me ( ex backtrack Linux ) when you hack your traces are not truly hidden you just try to muddle it all up so you can’t get caught out . ( Besides, I’m not a hacker so when I mean ‘ secret hackers ’ it’s just a term I’m using to describe those hackers who have hacked into wetherspoons, Ashley Madison and so on and have seem to not get caught at all. I think someone mentioned on my last post ‘ state level hackers ’ but as again I wouldn’t have used that term, even though correct, because I didn’t know the correct term. I just mean those hackers who hack into big companies and hide their tracks. I don’t know what the correct term for them is. )
I’m not dismissing some things will be lost, I actually don’t care about that. If I could get 50% of the data back, I would be very happy ( I actually deleted most of my photos by accident in the summer and I wasn’t’t too fussed, I’m justv fussed about the information that has been lost now. )
I don’t believe there is a simple ‘push this button’. I don’t I don’t have the skills. That’s why I asked you what are you talking about in your last post before your recent as I am not a hacker or a computer wizard at all. I’m saying I don’t believe all those stories about hackers who illegally recover data are untrue. I’m saying I know I don’t have the skills, but I want to learn those skills ( for legal purposes that benefit my own).
That’s it, that’s why I’ve joined here. I want to learn how to hack. I want to learn how to recover files how the ‘ state level ’ hackers do, legally.
I would rather take five years learning how to hack my phone than pay 45.99 for a Google file program.
Besides, I just want to learn anyway how to recover data,. I would love to be able to have those skills. I would to be able to hack to that level but to use my hacking skills to benefit me and my personal life.
Anyways , I’m going to close this thread. All answers have been very helpful ( especially the fact that the files are overwritten, I didn’t know that), if you want to be believe I’m listening to unrealistic ideas and that I think I can elite hack by the click of my fingers then that’s up to you. My point is, I don’t have any skills at all, but if state level hackers can do it, then anyone else can achieve it too ( PROVIDING they have and learn the skills to yes. I understand that. ). That’s what I mean, I understand those hackers have the skills. But I just want to learn those skills. I just don’t know which direction to go to learn these skills.. That’s all.
