Been using the tool n*** to scan for ports. Used the “-sV” command, the correct IP, told it to scan ALL ports with “-p”, and it’s been going on for 2.5 hours. Is there anything wrong with the request I’m making or does it simply take this long?

It depends on the argument that you have put for the scan.

Sent you a PM in case it would be any spoilers. If there isn’t any I’ll post it here.

Having a long scan doesn’t mean that it is not working. Just keep doing it.

Kali is an os, and zenmap a tool, built on top of nmap.
So an nmap command will run on zenmap, no matter if you are running kali or not.

You can increase the speed of the scan using the -T options. 1 is the slowest speed, 5 is the fastest. Try scanning with speed set to -T 4.
