Ive been wondering, ik that firewalls is basically like a “wall” standing between the internet and your computer, but can you design your own firewall, and how many can you create for one computer?

The basic idea of how a firewall work is a device/service that listens for incoming and outgoing connections, Depending on some rules set automatically or manually in its config, it will drop/reject/allow connections based on user/ip (from or to)/mac/keywords/port ….

ipcop is one of the best distros you can use as internet gateway/firewall, but basically any OS or distro can be used if you know your way around it.
