A nice hackable website https://google-gruyere.appspot.com/ is not working b/c Python 2.5 Support Turndown
https://goo.gl/aESk5L
“Python 2.5 support will be turned down permanently for all apps on June 20, 2017. After this shutdown date, the application version will no longer serve traffic. Users attempting to access the apps will receive an HTTP 503 error.”
“Important: The decommissioning of Python 2.5 application versions will not affect any data you have stored with Google, and you may continue to be charged for that data even without any apps accessing it.”
My question is there a way to use https://google-gruyere.appspot.com/ again? , since they say:
“Important: After the shutdown occurs, Python 2.5 application versions will stop servicing requests, but any stored data they created will still exist and be accessible to other versions of your application.”
What does this mean?
Also they say:
“If you want these application versions to continue operating, you’ll need to migrate these to Python 2.7.”
Is there a simplified (step by step) way to “Migrating from Python 2.5 to Python 2.7”? Or does Google need to do it?
If not, is there a link to a similar elementary hack-able site which is free, none login and website accessible like https://google-gruyere.appspot.com/ was?
Since Ive been a member of https://www.hackthis.co.uk my knowledge has increased but from time to time (work, life) have interrupted my training and I was going to use https://google-gruyere.appspot.com/ to refresh my knowledge! There goes that idea!
