My mom went on my computer and stuff and was going through my stuff while I was showering and tried opening the disk image for kali and changed it to notepad thinking it was kinda encryption thing (idk she is dumb with computers) is there any way to fix it I have deleted it and reinstalled it and it just instantly is like well you opened this as a notepad SO IT’S NO PAD!!!! HELP PLEASE
Have you tried to change the default opening program of the disk image? Because maybe she has and you just have to select another default program. And you can put a password on your PC, that will help things like that not to happen.

Try to right click and select “Open with” and then select the correct program to open it.
You can lock your PC when you’re not using it. And if she asks you to unlock your PC, you can simply create another session on your PC where you’ll put useless things to make her believe it’s your actual session, while yours is another one that you’ll name “guest” or “random” so she won’t think it’s important. It’s a kind of polyinstantiation.
