Year, QubesOs is really not convenient to use, but if comes to security, it’s really good.

@q-wert-Y What do you mean by powerful? There is no better OS, just one that will suite you the best, and it’s probably different that mine.
[]If you need easy gaming, stick with windows.
[
]If you want a Linux distro where you don’t need to know anything about Linux, go with Linux Mint.
[]If you just want something that works, and only something that works, go with OSX (damn if someone has told me I would recommend it one day…).
[
]If you want OSX but you don’t want to pay for a MAC, go with a Hackintosh
[]If you want to softly switch to Linux, go with Ubuntu.
[
]If you only and strictly want to play CTF, complete challenges or do some pentest, go with Kali Linux, ParrotOS or BlackArch Linux.
[]If you need anonymity, go with Tails.
[
]As said above, if you need strong security, go with Qubes OS
[]If you want to gain Linux system administration experience you could use in the enterprise world, go with Debian, Fedora or OpenSUSE.
[
]If you want to learn as much as possible about Linux and to play with the newest cool stuff from the open-source community, go with Arch Linux. You may cry first. Don’t try if you are new to Linux.

Of course, there is way more for you to explore, so if you already have an idea of what you are looking for and want to take some time, you can always have a look at Distro Watch.
I may have missed some important OSes, but I think the most important is there.
Hope that helps.

The only one I didn’t tested in my list are BlackArchLinux and Fedora.
I have used Windows, Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, Kali and Arch in real cases, not just to test them. My laptop currently runs Arch, my server Debian and my family laptop Mint.

I don’t think it’s bad, I just don’t like Apple and Microsoft. OSX is a greate OS with greate functionalities, but when I use it, I don’t feel like I’m in control of my computer. This is also true with Windows, And especially with Windows10.
