Hey I’m pretty new to this site, I finished all the levels except Basic 3, Coding 2, and Basic X. I downloaded TamperData (I’m on Firefox) but when I try to change it, it doesn’t say the score with the text box to change it. Please help I’m stumped >.<

Really? When you hit “submit” in the box you don’t see it in tamper data?

Try it again, it should work or maybe just maybe your Firefox browser must be the latest version. Tamper data might just now be able to work.

Yes, my FF is the latest version (17.0.1)

It doesn’t even show me the box to change it.

Should I downgrade my FF? If so to which version?

You dont using it well,i guess.
Once you start recording press “tamper” then change valute and that is it.
You did most hardest tasks and you stuck on most easyer o_O'

errors everywhere, the ship is going down. run for your lives!!!!

Thing is, there is no value to change. I saw videos about how to use TamperData in case I’m doing it wrong, but I’m doing it right.
1) Start Tamper
2) Change value
3) Submit
I press start tamper..but when I got to the page, there is no post parameter or whatever to change. It’s blank in that column. I’m extremely confused! D:

there is someone who teach how to complete this level without any extension if you cant complete it with tamper data….. just look in the forum of this level okay :)

ok… well i was having your problem first but realized after you start tamper you have to hit submit on the actual page of hackthis.co.uk then hot tamper on the popup on the tamper data window and the score box will be on the right

hey, i’m really having a hard time passing this level.. i’m using chrome.. is there any way i can solve this without using FF and tamper data? :)

for people having problem with tamperdata use burp suite.its another class of application for modifying headers alongwith some extra features which are really worth looking..

OMG I SPENT A WHOLE DAY ON THIS LEVEL AND I DIDNT EVEN SAY THE GODDAMN “SUBMIT” BUTTON ! ! ! !
After that it works with both ways: burpsuite and tempe data ! ! !

It can be done without using TamperData (I did it on, uh, IE8). Someone posted hints to another method in the forums, involving the search page. I must say that that method works quite well and made complete sense to me.
I already had IE8 and Chrome running, so I appreciated that I didn’t have to install another browser and extension to complete just one level. It also helped me to think even more outside the box.

The solution is in the manipulation of Tamp Data, my advice is to watch the tuto on Youtube
