Hey

if i enter a Search, e.g “hackthis” my browser doesnt use google anymore, he switches to search.installmac.com what brings me to the Bing result of the “hackthis” search and not to the google one.

Does anybody knows what kind of programm this is, how it works, and most important, how i get rid of it (on a mac)

Oh god.. not this.. My dad got this on his computer; he wanted me to try and fix it. its a pain to get rid of. Are you using Google chrome?

mostly safari. but infected every browser

How did this get onto your computer, did you download something before it started happening?

Yes. programm called paintbrush. already deleted again

a bit like paint. needed it for drawing a picture.

you can use it for drawing on the Pc

I see, well my dad downloaded a similar program so he can write/learn Chinese characters. :L il tell you if i find a fix.

should improve my google skills… used google but only found windows solutions or only explanations …

I tired doing that on my dads windows computer but it keeps coming back, maybe i haven’t cleanly uninstalled it. Il have a look
