The alert system displays your 5-latest notifications. Sometimes, you will receive a friend request. But what if you receive more than one? It will not show up. Here is a tip for anyone who cares about pending request(s):

1/ Click View More to see all alerts.

2/ Search for keyword sent.

3/ For every sent you have found, go to that user’s profile and accept his/her request.

@flabbyrabbit: This is not a bug but it surely does not satisfy user experience.

It doesn’t DIS-satisfy me either that only the latest 5 notifications are shown.

That depends on your point of view. There’s no mere coincidence when Facebook splits up Friend Request(s) section and Notification(s) section.

Hmm, well it doesn’t bother me. As for Facebook, I wouldn’t know about that as I am not a Facebook user.
