Anymore tips for this level?

What does 0xBBA5 have to do with the level? All I know is this:

I’ve played about with a hex editor, referring to the txt file, and I’m not getting very far, so any help will be appreciated. :)

As I understood it, BBA5 is needed in one of the last steps of the level. So ignore it for now

Note that the hints (not all of them) for the challenge do exist on the last thread, but they are well hidden.

In the other thread, it is stated that 0xBBA5 is not meant to signify a character, so is it meant to signify hex values instead? I know I should ignore that for now, but I still wanted to ask.

Sorry if I sound dumb ok, but if there’s no need to modify the image then what is the purpose of using the hex editor?
