For example:

Youtube, Vimeo, megashare, etc. Anything that hosts videos in a player. It is very important and crucial that a good amount gets added up in this thread. You will see why in about a couple of days more than likely! But, it is very important for your feedback and input.

Other than the obvious YouTube, I have to say that www.dailymotion.com is my favourite video sharing site. If YouTube ever goes under, DM’s minimal blue layout will surely draw in droves of die-hard vloggers and Let’s Play-ers. From a user point of view, the interface will take getting used to after YouTube’s iconic red and black player, but it’s certainly a site worth a visit.

From a code point of view, which I feel is what you’re after, a quick check at the HTML shows that the source of their player’s content comes from dmcdn.net. Now, I don’t know much about video hosting, or really anything, for that matter (:3), but I would guess this is some off-the-beaten-path server owned by DM that serves up content when requested, probably separate from the server that hosts the site itself.
