A little confused | Defend the Web

Hello all

I am making my attempt at basic level 3, and I would like to know if I am on the right track.
To start off, I looked under the logs under inspect element, and found one that contained a POST statement and the lower score. Can I use this log and data, and if so, could I get a push in the right direction?

I would like to figure this out for myself, so no large spoilers please.

I had some trouble with this level as well. I don’t really know what you mean by ‘log’, you mean the source code?
In any case, if you want a very good recommendation, read all the other posts in the forum for that level (on the panel on the left select “Level discussion -> Basic+ Levels”).
Yes, it will take some time. But guess what? You will learn a lot! And that is the point of this site, so go read! :) Read all the answers, most of them provide veeery good information. Sometimes the levels just take some more time and reflection, that’s all. Don’t worry.

Hey watercup if you are using firefox you can use one of the addons to help you on this level.>> you can use tamper data to alter the value above what you need to pass the level.

I could actually finish this level without any addons. I do agree, it took some html coding to do it, it might be easier with tamper data :P

I’ve heard this a lot on the forums, but I’m using chrome and I would not like to use someone else’s work. I would like to do this using the tools available to me.

There are addons in chrome as well, just give it a search. If you know html, you can do this with nothing but the dev-tools in chrome and your brain. Just take the SIMPLE logical approach to solve it (if you think too much, you’ll have a hard time doing this level).

@watercup, I did this without any addons, just with Chrome - as is, like you. Go slowly, read and you’ll do it! :)

Woh Johnenla just joined 18 hours ago and already has -5 Karma.

I thought that for this level the addon Tamper data no longer works. I had actually completed this level on the old HT when Tamper data used to work for this level. Maybe I’ll try again to complete it without using the addons.

@tlotr Do it! I think it’s funnier. I honestly didn’t know you could do that kind of thing when I completed this level, it opened quite a few paths for learning.
