How can I edit request parameters?

I’m quite sure that I know the solution to this level, but in order to execute it I need to edit POST parameters in some way. I am using Firefox 52.9.0 and the only plugin I have found to do this is called Tamper Data, but, to my knowledge, it has been discontinued and is not compatible with my version of firefox. Is there another way to do this?

You’ve got everything to complete the level, keep on searching, I’m sure you’ll find

You should also read other threads, you’re not the first (and probably not the last) to ask the very same question

Just keep in mind you need to edit something about this POST form :)

Good luck!

I just found BurpSuite, which has a nice intercept feature allowing you to edit requests. That got the job done easily!

Well done ! A lot of proxies can do the job, but Burp seems to be THE tool of reference…

I’ve intercepted packets via BurpSuite but can’t see the score within the packet?

If you have intercepted the right request, it must be there. Look around POST requests.

Problem with Burp settings - was missing one option. Finally completed after 10 days!

Well done! This level is one of the most interesting in the basic one, hope you learnt something new (and you did if you had to fix your burp problem)

You can now edit natively POST parameters on Chrome and Firefox btw ;)

@emilyj27 what was the burp setting you were missing?

@pushedbyboredom Only just seen this sorry. It was a while ago now but without giving it away, make sure you’re set up to view as much information in the packet as you can. Some default settings may just present the visible information.

@DIDIx13 does that mean you can edit native POST params on Chrome and Firefox without any other plugin? If so do you know if there are any tutorials online explaining how to?

Long read for Chrome : https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/network-performance/reference#headers

Or here’s a screenshot of native Firefox Developer Edition
