dfalcon: closing the thread doesn’t help with taking away the hints that are already here, and as long as no one digs up an thread and posts in it everything is fine. Even if threads are closed, people have the option of creating a new post, in which people will be telling others to go and read other posts. Closing threads are really meant to prevent them from going on and on into an endless thread.
