USB FLASH DRIVE STATUS: no media

hi !!! , i am facing problem with my usb flash drive , it is kingston DT108 . the problem is it is not showing on my computer , i tried various steps , tried changing the drive letter , reinstall the device , no good , then i go to diskpart and found some leads below are the images

when i ran cmd list disk , here is the output

the second output shows it has no volumes

here is another output for list volume ( it shows no media )

so what should i do ??

i cannot do that , i dont have another usb and currently i have not installed it on my system

Don’t you have a VM and a liveCD ? Burn one and open it in VMware.

Does you pen drive blink when connected?
Edit : Maybe it got corrupted then. Tell me when you unplugged the usb from the internet cafe PC did you do the “safely remove device” thingy ?

nope !!! i dont know wat happened at cafe , but when i plugged it today it gives that normal plaug sound and then nothing on my computer

Well the only thing that I see of is that your pendrive is corrupted! But cant think of any reasons though. Keep this thread open for some time. Lets see what others can say.

i found something strange !!!! when i type pendrive letter path ( example : H:/) in sttus bar it show me pendrive ( folder is empty)
but it don’t show on my computer ans shows pendrive size 0 bytes it was 8gb pendrive

i tried nothing happened

below are the steps
1.typed drive path in status bar

now i tried to format it , nothing happened no box came nothing
then i clicked on properties , see the result

what do you think is my pendrive dead ???? :(

Yes it might be so! Though it has never happened to me even when my pendrive went to washing in my jeans. It had water in its shell. But a dead pendrive seems to be a very rare event!

yeah , but it is still detected in my pc problem is its status is no media , 0 Bytes space , no volumes , no partition

do you try to fixed it from: error-checking!!! @jayssj11

Or from: Device Manager
start >> devmgmt.msc

also you can try these programes :

Try accessing the USB from a different OS. Boot some Linux from another USB or CD (not from a VM!) just in case.
Alternatively, go to the Internet Cafe again and plug it there. Maybe it’s a hardware problem if you can’t access any other drives (did you try that?).

i tried different usb they worked well . tried it in vmware , even went to cyber cafe nothing .

iamdevil maybe i have to mourn for my pendrive . may my pendrive rest in peace :(

I think he tried that using a LiveCD. Didn’t work out though! Was it brought near a magnet? I know its very unlikely to happen but still.
