Hey, guys, I wonder if any of you are into the physical hacking. The hardware stuff. Not really like the lockpicking or the PC building stuff. Think Jeri Ellsworth or Ben Krasnow and Hackaday or Hackerspaces rather thanThe Mentor, Mendax or Electron (yeah, sorry about the old-school examples, the contemporaries are well hidden; using their name handles just for kicks), Defcon and the Cyber Security scene.

I’m actually more in my medium with the hacking of things than programming and networks. I fancy BEAM electronics, clockwork and using pipe fittings to hang stuff to stuff. I even made a stepper motor controller using relays, once :p . What about you?

i made a 30 laptop into a beast i spent hours soldering and checking my laptop now will work very well with all games at 4K the total cost of every thing was 92 all components were used including old solder but the only draw back is 3 hour battery life

I want to know why it runs on batteries only.

Seems like cal1590 stole someone ;) . With a 3 hour battery, it’s more like an integrated UPS than a battery, but then as dalfor suggested (or not), you should be running that beast out of supercapacitors at some point.

firstly i don’t own a camera secondly my laptop now has a 6 hour battery and my laptop looks fine except for a hole next to the power button that has a thick capacitor sticking through about 2 millimeters BUT IT TOOK ME ABOUT 18 MONTHS TO FINISH

I wonder what it will take to build a challenge site for that…
I guess one can make a wifi simulation to get passwords. Or some other attack like sim cards attack or voltage change attack can also be simulated.
Actually that could be really cool project, will this site be able to handle that?
