Hello, I’m new, and I was wondering if it is recommended to know Javascript, or at least the basics?

It is recommended. It will help you on a number of these levels. But as for real-world situations learning any language can be highly beneficial/.

Welcome on hackthis FedoraTime ! Javascript will obviously help you but actually you don’t need too understanding for thoses levels, firebug is powerfull enough.
