Need help to get admin at school

My school has a pretty nice security set up so I’ve been finding it difficult to get admin privileges. Was wondering if anyone could help me out. Not asking for a hacking team to infiltrate or anything like that just suggestions and different ideas I could use. Thanks!

Are you able to boot from CD or USB ? If so you could just boot Ubuntu from USB/CD and you would be able to get the CMD with system rights. (If the PC is running Windows)

What network set up are they running? (if any). for example RM, Qual, Centerprise etc

Hi guys, you seem to want to bypass an admin password. Yes?
Forgot your Windows admin password?
Have a read here:webpage
here too: Main site

@thekinghack : Thanks
@ColdIV : So I can get into CMD if I log into the default computer and It pretty much gives me basic rights. They dont even let us change our desktop backrounds :(. There log in is all logged in online so there are multiple log in options. We use for example: Computer to log in under and they have a : Computer - Admin option. To get in CMD i have to log in using Username: user, Password: homeuse. My log in option will than have to be set to a option called “This Computer:(computername)”.
@CygnusH33L : As for their network set up, i’d have to get back to you on that one, still trying to figuire that myself.
@ANONRA: Thanks I’ll keep that in mind, though I was wondering if there was a way to do it through CMD.
And to clarify a bit on the Network, If the school network is down, no one will be able to log in unless using the “user”-“homeuse” option

Well if you are able to boot with ubuntu you can change the admin password of the computer to whatever you want. But I don’t know how your network works.

schools should stop workstations from booting from Cd or USB, the only place i could even attempt to gain access is form the Networking labs but even then its closed off from the main network.

warning if you did manage to gain admin privileges, desktop authority would be able to track you and you would be BAN from using any computer connected to the schools network. you could also face criminal charges.

“schools should stop workstations from booting from Cd or USB”
should.. that’s right. But I never had problems booting from USB, guess my teacher doesn’t know how to stop that.

@TerraForm It sounds like your users are synced with the Active Directory unless you choose “Home use” and log on as a local user. Your best chance would be to see if you can boot from USB (some schools leave this enabled for external engineers) and boot Ubuntu or something to gain access to CMD (and then unlock the admin/change the admin password) as said by ColdIV. However like StonedNingaLUFC said they would most likely be able to see what you have done including web history etc, I know here at my School I would be able to, and yes I would ban the user for doing this too, so go careful :D

couldnt you use a cmd emulator?

0

alright, i have been waiting for a topis like this. im not the smartest person but chances are that your school has blocked command prompt. but something really similar to it is Windows Power shell. go to Google and look up all of the codes for windows power shell and there are some really interesting things that you can do. but remember they can see everything that you do, which means if you do something and you don’t cover up your tracks really well … you will take a hard hit.

When I was still in school students and teachers had two networks so if you did get admin ship over one network it was pretty useless. Not saying this is how it is at your school but just my findings.

Well I’m thinking of just trying to boot Ubunto from USB near the end of the year and see if I can’t get admin privillages with that. Or I could try a CMD emulator but I would haved to be in my personal account to use that so it seems kind of useless…Say I get into the network as admin, does anyone have any sugestions for hiding myself or atleast keeping the trail off me while I’m in?

Be Advised That I have Found out the school uses “Forti Gaurd” as a web filter. Any way around that?

This may just sound silly but it generally does work, type your login details, click login and as soon as the mouse goes to a timer icon in that split second pull the ethernet cable out untill its fully booted. Used to work for me and still works at my old school for my cousin.

Not trying to be a letdown but that doesn’t sound possible!

It doesn’t sound possible? on what grounds? seeing that it has in fact worked for me kind of tells me that it does, do you get your kicks by jumping at something before you tried it? maybe its because the computer has full permissions before login and once it talks to the server it gets restricted, kind of like if you switch Utilman.exe with CMD so that you can get on command prompt before login and change and add user accounts as there is no restriction before login. Try it before you speak

@beats22 I see how unplugging from the network could work, it would depend on when the group/user policy’s are applied/run. If you could disconnect it before it downloads it from the server (but after you logged in) then this would work. However at our school we have a group policy applied during boot so this wouldn’t work as you would still be restricted by that.

if you gain access to cmd it could be quite fun as you could change tons of other students passwords using it fore example typing in
net user you can see users of the network then type
net user “name here”*
or you can type shutdown -t and shutdown all computers.
