i want to understand the GSM phone network system and want to figure out if there can be some simple vulnerabilities that can be exploited. i know i am not the first person who will be trying to do so but i am clueless from where to start?? so i will appreciate any kind of guidelines provided on this post.
i am really interested in, if it is possible to trick and cellular phone in detecting its own network provider? can a frequency detector help me to find out whats going on in between them. i don’t know what type of encryption they are using and it is breakable or not. this question eluded me for a long time and though to post it here.
