Why can't we remove a upvote without downvoting it?

Here’s my issue, I would like to remove a up/downvote. We can’t currently click on upvote again to take it back.

It was working on HT!! but now it’s not implemented yet.

If needed where can we contribute? GitLab or GitHub.
