external programs on lvl6 intro

Hello. I had literally no clue how to solve level 6 in intro, so i searched online. First time i searched i was recommended on some blog to use external program for intercepting like BurpSuite. I tried and i couldn’t really figure out how to do it so i abonded everything for some time. Now i found another very simple solution, just to edit as HTML. Can u tell me why should i use traffic interceptin programs, and why was i recommend harder solution in the first place? Is in this case harder the better?

Hey,
I’m a noob but you sould not use an external program for 2 reasons : you’re not a script kiddie and second : it’s useless and so much more complicated than just replacing the html code.
