The challenge says:

Extract the login details from this file

Did you open the file? Maybe you can have a look and find a way to get the credentials stored inside. ;)

Try using cmd to change the file extensions…

(to .jpg for example ;) ) I read that here https://mywindowshub.com/change-file-extensions-using-command-prompt/
