It’s usualy for good posts, and later shows how good is somebody,in another words, how good poster is.
It should be visible in every forum profile.
There’s general score, but can be nice to have forum score too.

Maybe it’s good sugestion,maybe not.You decide.

Something like reputation? Where you can vote up someone’s post and they earn reputation points?

Karma points have been added to each post, see the number in the top right above the post. Karma currently doesn’t do a great deal and simply shows how popular each post is. There are plans to be able to sort threads by karma so you see the most voted posts at the top. Also a users karma maybe used to try and measure the quality of their posts.

Rules:
[] The number of times you can give karma in a given time period is limited.
[
] You can’t award yourself karma
One more rule:
You must have made 25 posts to be able to give karma

flabbyrabbit i dont understand the decision to limit karma, what if their is to good posts how or why people would abuse that

What limit are you referring to?

“You can only give karma to a user once per thread. E.g. if a user has posted multiple times in one thread you can only vote on one of their posts.”

Ok, I agree with your point and have removed this restriction. I am sure I had a good reason but I can’t remember what it was :p

What about hiding post with bad karma? like if someone spoils an answer you can decrease the karma and the post will be hidden, pretty useful if there is no admin I guess?

Hello, you are wrong here.
If you want to learn you should probably start with the levels first, if you cannot complete them you can ask in the right topic for hints. If you have some general questions - there is also a topic for that. And if you want to introduce yourself, guess what? Got a topic for that d:

nice idea and can’t wait for “need moderator flag” for bad post. Seeing someone posting for the answer is really make me sick :(

If you down vote the posts karma then it will make it easier for moderators to find such posts :)

just wish you didnt have to wait so long to lack again i mean as long as you cant just like the same post over and over again it should be ok

Maybe a minute is a little too long but the idea is to only upvote very good posts and down vote very bad posts so realistically you shouldn’t be just throwing votes around.
