i’m hoping to get the attention of a moderator here.

i’m a computer engineer, in saying that
i’ve been on your site for a short while .

but in the last few days i’ve noticed your site has been going offline

I’m going to start logging downtimes in this thread so you can troubleshoot it.

so.. far

about 2 days ago it went down for a while and about a day before that.

now.. more specifically
All times Are in Sydney Local Time (AEST)
all times quoted are obviously not accurate due to the fact that i’m only stating when i notice the downtime and uptime
keep that in mind.
Today 24/2/2013 - Between 1430 and 2000hrs

the troubleshooting i do everytime is the following

  1. i will try to go to your site http://www.hackthis.co.uk
  2. i will get the message (unable to connect to server) or (this page cannot be displayed) depending on the browser
  3. i will go to cmd.exe
  4. i will run an ipconfig
  5. i will ping my AC
  6. if successfull i will ping your site (usually unsuccessful)
  7. i will ping ping -t www.google.com (usually always successfull) 0% Loss
  8. i will try to open your site in safari, firefox, chrome , internet explorer 9 (this is really overkill, because i know that your site opens in firefox from the Bookmark that i’ve added
  9. i then clear the cache on all browsers and redo all the steps
  10. i then try from another computer, and repeat all the above steps
  11. i then restart the AC and then repeat all the above steps

after all that. my results are consistant, in that every site works except for your site. (at the times previously stated)

i therefore conclude that this can’t be an issue on my side,
either there is something wrong with the DNS
or there is something wrong with your server
or.. Considering i’m in sydney, maybe your in the states, and your doing maintenance during your night, which is my day.

so…. What’s happening, , why do i get these problems

I’ll keep you update with Downtime logs as i experience them.

thanks

Instead of ping, you can always just check it with downforeveryoneorjustme.
Really hope you figure this out :).
