Notes, cheat sheets, regular expressions, schemes, graphs, formulas, algorithm structures. In short, everything I need for reference from time to time.

DJDavid98

Well, you can find all of that on the interwebz, perhaps you could also save it in a Word Document for easy searching, and your room would look just a bit nicer ;)

Hi, there.
That’s mine. There is no trick. :)
That was a dream.

6 Screens front of me, with 2x7970 and an Intel 3930k

My previous setup had “only” 2 screens. It can seems useless, and for someone who use his PC during 1 or 2 hours per day, i think it is. But it’s pretty comfortable. I can use few VM, my Web browser, Skype, a movie and Sublime Text at the same time. That was crazy … But I think i couldn’t live without about now. x)

Smyler [WHGhost]

DuckDuckGo works very well actually, and is still better than Google. The only feature you could miss is the search by image functionality. I personally prefer to stay away companies like Google, Microsoft or Facebook, to name a few. The only things I can’t find a replacement for are Youtube and STT engine for my raspberry-pi.

@Mugiwara27 and @jayssj11, I’m using Herbstluftwm on Debian GNU/Linux. The script running on the left can be found on my GitHub and the music player is ncmpcpp using mpd as a server.

Didn’t know about this desktop environment, it looks very cool, and seems very powerful when working in a terminal, but is it still as good for other uses?

John Smith [GRX78FL]

1

@WHGhost Actually it’s a WM (as in Window Manager). There are hundreds of them in the wild. Personally I find full desktop environments to be too bloated for me, check out r/Unixporn to get an idea of what you like :)

To answer your question: I was a GNOME 3 fanboy myself, but then I found i3, then i3-gaps and now it’s been 5 months on HerbstluftWM. I stopped using full DEs like 20 months ago.
